West Wave Dance Festival

6/11-13/2021, Joe Goode Annex and ONLINE/IN PERSON

I have been privileged to have been accommodated as a resident artist at SAFEHouse Arts again, for Annual West Wave Dance Festival. I have choreographed a piece titled “Unimagined” and it is to be presented on 6/12/2021, at 5 PM (PST).

Due to ongoing pandemic, I have decided this piece to be fully filmed, so it can be streamed for the audience to see in the comfort of their own home.

I would like to introduce wonderful collaborators who are currently helping me envision this piece in a form of a dance film: RAPT Productions and Max C. Klein. RAPT Productions is a local video production that specializes in a diversity of creative content and their years of collaborations with Bay Area dance artists and companies have proven their skills in fully transferring the movement dynamics onto the screen. They have also been putting together the SF Dance Film Festival reels since 2016. Max. C Klein is a filmmaker and writer based in UK. His short horror film Tiger has won Best Score of the season from The Monkey Bread Tree Film Festival in 2017, and Best Score from Genre Celebration Festival in 2018.

Lastly, I would like to thank Jesse Bie, founder and director of STEAMROLLER Dance Company, for the support as my mentor throughout the process.
